Description

Glebe Cottage is a cottage that dates from the mid 16th century and the 18th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and plastered exterior, featuring a red plain tile gambrel roof on the rear range and a grey slate roof on the front range. The building has two storeys and includes a three-window range with 20th-century leaded casements. There is a lean-to extension on the east side. A central red brick chimney stack from the 16th century and a red brick bread oven are located at the west end. The interior retains extensive original framing, including halved and bladed top plate scarfs and through bracing. The cottage became the Parson's house in 1546.
