Description

This barn, located about 30 meters southeast of Oxhey Hall Farm House, dates from the late 17th century or early 18th century. It features a timber frame and is weatherboarded with a tiled roof. The structure consists of five bays and has a central gabled midstrey at the north end, which includes a lean-to addition with a slate roof. Inside, there are straight braces connecting the posts to the tie beams, queen struts supporting the collars that clasp the purlins, and cambered tie beams in the midstrey with angled struts also clasping the purlins.
