Description

This barn, located about 30 meters south-southwest of Great Wheelers Farm House, dates from the 17th or 18th century. It features a timber frame resting on a base of brick and flint, and is weatherboarded with a tiled roof. The structure consists of three bays and has a gabled midstrey at the center facing southeast, flanked by lean-tos, with the left lean-to having a slate roof. There are double doors opposite the midstrey. Inside, the barn includes curved braces from jowled posts to tie beams, and angled struts that clasp the purlins.
