3/20 Barn approx. 25 metres SE of Wheelers Farmhouse GV II

Aisled barn, early C17. Timber framed, weatherboarded, roofed with C19 red clay Roman tiles. 5 bays aligned approx. E-W with midstrey to N. One bay at W end partitioned from remainder. Lean-to shed at W end. Half-hipped at both ends. Jowled posts, primary straight bracing with heavy studding, cambered tiebeams with arched braces. Queen strut roof with clasped purlins. An unusually intact example of its type and period.
