Description
The Cock Public House is a 17th-century house that has been converted into a public house. It features a timber frame with a plastered exterior and is roofed with handmade red clay tiles. The building has an L-shaped plan, with the longer section running parallel to The Street and a shorter section at the southwest end extending southeast. There are axial chimney stacks located in the main range and at the northeast end.
The property has undergone several 20th-century alterations, including single-storey extensions to the northeast, south, southwest, and in the angle. It stands two storeys high. The elevation facing The Street includes two bow windows, one casement window, a gabled porch, and three casement windows on the first floor, all of which are from the 20th century. The roof is hipped at the northeast and half-hipped at the southeast. Inside, there are stop-chamfered beams.
