Description
This barn, located about 25 meters north of Watkin's Farm House, dates from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It features a timber frame set on a brick base and is weatherboarded. The roof is shallow pitched and covered with slate. The barn consists of eight bays and has a gabled midstrey facing the yard in the third bay from the house, along with a lean-to addition on the right side. There are double doors opposite the midstrey, with loft doors on either side. Inside, the structure includes jowled posts with straight braces supporting straight tie beams, as well as angled queen struts and collars clasping purlins. This barn is included for its group value with the nearby buildings.
