Description
This barn, located approximately 50 metres to the south-west of Manor Farmhouse, dates from around 1800. It features a timber frame with a brick plinth and is clad in weatherboarding. The roof is covered with old tiles and has a catslide over an open lean-to on the west side. The barn consists of four framed bays, with two small boarded doors on the east side and one small window positioned high on the right.
Inside, the two northern bays have trusses made up of queen struts that rise from collars supported by three posts from tie-beams. The two southern bays have trusses with queen struts from collars supported by king posts from tie beams, and all trusses include transverse bracing. The roof is a double queen post design with wind braces. This barn is included for its group value with the nearby farmhouse.
