GV II

House. C16, part rebuilt early to mid C17. Refronted in C18, altered c.1800, extended later C19. Timber frame, brick fronted and extended, roughcast. Slate roofed, 1 bay kitchen block replacing hall with projecting crosswing to left. All 2 storeys. Entrance in crosswing, panelled door with bracketed hood. Ground floor timber cross casement, part plat band to first floor with a 3 light casement, exposed purlins in gable. C19 stack at right angle. 1 bay block to right has timber 3 light casements. Entrance with hood in right gable end towards front. Original large external stack with 3 flues, 2 diagonally set. To rear right a separately roofed C19 block. Right gable end 2 light casement with a cambered head. 2 bay rear elevation with an entrance and 2 light casements, cambered heads. Rear gable end of crosswing is rendered flint and brick, 2 and'3 3 light casements and an entrance. Attached to left is a 1 storey weatherboarded, slate roofed outbuilding. Interior: clasped purlin roof with windbraces. (RCHM Typescript).
