Description

Wyatts Cottage is a late 17th-century house in Sarratt, located on the east side of Redhall Lane, near Chandler's Cross. The house is timber-framed and rendered, with a tiled roof. It is two storeys high and originally had two bays. Modern 3-light casements have been installed. Architectural features include exposed mid rails, posts, studs, and straight braces. The right gable end has a porch with an architrave, weatherboarded. An external stack has a rendered base, and the roof is of clasped purlin construction with an exposed tension brace. The left gable end is roughcast and there’s an external stack. A catslide roof covers a brick lean-to addition to the rear. Attached to the left is a lower, weatherboarded outbuilding with two strap-hinged doors at the front. The interior was not inspected.
