Description
Yew Court Lodge is a former barn complex associated with Yew Court Farm House, now serving as a garage and dwelling. It dates from the 17th or 18th century and was converted in the 20th century. The structure features a timber frame with weatherboarding and a tiled roof. It consists of two three-bay barns arranged in an L shape. The outer gable over the central bay of the barn along the road is open as a carriageway, with canted sides leading to flanking lean-tos that have catslide roofs. The right lean-to has a roof that sweeps over a four-light casement window. The second barn has a gable end that projects to the right and contains two two-light casement windows. A stack has been inserted where the ridges of the barns meet. Inside the carriageway, there is an entrance to the lodge, featuring exposed framing and a clasped purlin roof with curved windbraces. There are double doors leading to the yard on the right side of the carriageway, along with three-light 20th-century windows and a gable end entrance in the lodge that opens to the yard. The interior has not been inspected.
