Description
This barn, located immediately southeast of Chandler's Farm House, dates from the 17th or 18th century. It features a timber frame with weatherboarding and a tiled roof, comprising three bays. There is a two-bay gabled midstrey with inserted doors and windows at the rear, and the entrance is situated in the gable end facing the house. In front of the barn, there is an entrance and a Victorian posting box beneath an open-fronted lean-to. Inside, the barn has straight braces to the tie beams, queen struts to the collars clasping the purlins, and straight braces in the walling. The barn is included for its group value with the nearby farmhouse.
