Description
The White House is a late 17th-century house located on Churchover Church Street. It features a timber-framed structure with later brick infill and cladding, topped by a slate roof with brick stacks along the ridge. The house has two storeys and an L-shaped plan, with a three-window range. A 20th-century glazed door is set within a 19th-century brick lean-to on the right side. There is a 19th-century six-pane window and a three-light casement window on the first floor, along with a 20th-century casement window to the right of the ground floor and a 20th-century bay window to the left. The front wall of the gable end displays exposed timber-framing. Inside, there is an open fireplace and chamfered beams with stepped and ogee stops.
