Description
The stable block at Brownsover Hall, located on the west side of the courtyard, dates from the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a slate hipped roof with a brick eaves cornice. The building has two storeys and is divided into three bays. There are two similar doorways: one on the left and one in the centre, both with glazed fanlights that have glazing bars and are set within basket arches, leading to boarded stable doors. On either side of the left-hand fanlight, there is a bulls-eye window with a pivoting sash. To the right, there is a pair of vertical boarded coach doors beneath a heavy timber lintel. On the first floor, three windows are set within basket arches, each featuring vertical bars on the sides and a central casement.
