Description
The Coach House at Brownsover Hall is a mid-19th century building, likely designed by the architect Sir George Gilbert Scott, who also designed Brownsover Hall. It features a Tudor gothic style and is constructed of red brick with blue brick diaper patterns on the south elevation facing the courtyard, complemented by stone dressings and a slate roof. The building has stone coped gable ends and is a long single storey with an attic.
There are four steeply pitched gable dormers, and a brick stack with stone quoins is located at the rear. The south front showcases three stone-framed doorways with pointed arches and boarded doors, alternating with three two-light stone-framed mullioned windows that have flat lintels. To the left, there are two stone-framed carriage archways with pointed arches and double vertical boarded doors. The three dormers on the left feature 2-light stone-framed casements, each topped with a Caernarvon arch over each light, while the dormer on the right includes an upper loading door. All casements are fitted with glazed bars.
