Description
Streetfield Farmhouse and attached farm buildings date from the early 19th century, with a covered cartway that has the date 1835 marked on a beam. The buildings are constructed of Flemish bond brick and feature slate roofs. The farmhouse has a brick plinth, a stone sill course, and a moulded stone cornice. It has a hipped roof with brick lateral stacks and a central staircase in an L-plan, with a wing extending to the rear on the right. The farmhouse is three storeys high and has a symmetrical front with a three-window range. The entrance features a six-panelled door with an overlight that includes fan glazing and is sheltered by an open gabled porch. The sash windows have rusticated rendered flat arches with keyblocks, while the second floor has six-pane sashes without flat arches. The right return side has two bays, and the left return side features a three-light wood mullioned and transomed window with glazing bars. There is a one-storey and attic wing at the rear.
Inside, the kitchen has a chamfered beam and an open fireplace with a wood surround and dentil cornice. The range of attached farm buildings forms an L-plan with a wing on the right. The granary on the left has an external brick staircase and a central cartway. The wing includes a stable and a loosebox, with two stable doors featuring brick segmental arches. The interior of the farm buildings contains brick and stone troughs, stalls, and remnants of a hayrack.
