Description
The gateway piers and flanking walls located immediately northwest of Cotesbach Hall date from the early 19th century. They are constructed of Flemish bond red brick with stone dressings, and the quadrant walls are made of header bond. The square carriageway gate-piers feature stone pyramidal caps, while the quadrant walls have smaller similar pieces. These walls are flanked by a short section of wall that includes rusticated stone arches for pedestrian access, with the western arch being blind or blocked.
