Description

Redbourn Dry Cleaning Services, located at Nos 79 and 81 on Redbourn High Street, is a house and shop dating from the early 18th century. The building features a timber frame with roughcast walls and has a plastered floor band and plinth on the right-hand side. It has a plain tile roof and stands two storeys tall. The deep wooden eaves cornice is adorned with square modillion brackets. On the first floor, there are three early 19th-century sash windows set in flush wood frames. The ground floor includes an 18th-century door frame on the right and a 20th-century double-fronted shop on the left, with a 19th-century sash window positioned between them. At the rear, there are twin 18th-century projections with hipped roofs.
