Description

This is a house and former inn, originating in the late medieval period, but with significant internal features dating to the 17th century. Around 1900, the front was rebuilt in red brick, and the roof is covered with steep-pitched plain tiles. The building has one and a half storeys, with two gabled dormers in the eaves. The front has a segmental-headed double door flanked by windows, the right-hand window being a double-hung sash. The layout comprises three bays. The central bay features a heavy, stop-chamfered floor beam and some late 17th-century panelling. The right bay likely functioned as an open hall previously. The left bay originally formed a cross wing.
