Description

This is an early 19th-century villa located on Verulam Road. It is two storeys high with three windows. The villa is constructed of stucco, with a blocking course and entablature concealing the roof. The corners of the building are slightly recessed. The first-floor windows are slender sash windows with glazing bars on the left and right, set in plain reveals. A long, central casement window, with an architrave, frieze, and console bracketed cornice, opens onto a balcony above a prostyle Ionic porch on the ground floor. The ground-floor windows are long casements in plain reveals, opening onto a narrow terrace. The villa is part of a group with numbers 157 to 165 on the same side of the road.
