Description

No. 169 on Verulam Road is an early 19th-century villa that stands two storeys high and features four windows. The building is constructed of yellow brick and has a low-pitched, hipped slate roof with eaves soffits. The sash windows, which include glazing bars, are adorned with gauged, shallow segmental brick arches set in stucco-lined reveals. There is a projecting one-storey blind elevation before the ground floor left bay, as well as a similar extension attached to the right-hand corner. The ground floor windows retain their original external shutters. The original front door consists of six flat panels, two of which are now glazed, and is located beneath a prostyle Doric porch.
