Description

The Homestead is a house dating from the early 18th century. It has a timber frame and was refronted and extended on the right side in the late 18th century. The exterior is finished in painted brick, topped with a plain tile roof that features a central ridge stack. The house has a lobby entrance plan and stands two storeys tall. It has dentilled brick eaves and four windows, with the ground floor windows being segmental-headed and featuring original lead casements set in oak frames. A 20th-century gabled porch has been added. Inside, the property includes chamfered floor beams and joists, as well as inglenooks on either side.
