Description

This is a barn and stable block located on the east side of Pipers Farm, including Little Pipers, dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century. The barn features a timber frame and is weatherboarded, consisting of four bays with medium scantling and straight braces supporting the mid-height purlins. It has a plain tile roof and a central porch on the west side. The early 19th-century stable block, known as Little Pipers, is attached to the northwest, creating an L-shaped plan. The two-storey road elevation of the stable block is made of red brick, has pargetting, and features 20th-century casements. The weatherboarded west gable includes a dovecot.
