Description
Leasey Bridge Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 16th century, possibly with an earlier core. It features a rear extension from the mid to late 17th century and a red brick chimney stack. The building was refaced and extended in mauve brick in the late 19th century and has a plain tile roof. The central gable end is two storeys high with attics over a cellar. On the ground floor, there is a canted sash window. The chimney stack to the right has a square base with an ovolo cornice and four octagonal shafts with moulded bases and caps. There is a single-storey bay on the right, which may have been a former hall, featuring a gabled casement dormer. To the left, there is a two-storey block with a box oriel. Inside, the gable end displays heavy 16th-century framing at the front and ovolo moulded beams at the rear, with the latter part constructed of red brick and timber frame on the exterior.
