Description

Amwell End is an 18th-century timber-frame house, later encased in red brick. A 20th-century extension creates an L-shaped plan. The roof is covered with plain tiles, and it has two 18th-century ridge chimney stacks. Four timber-frame dormers are visible; the one in the right-center displays the date 1756. The house has wood-mullioned casement windows, three of which are on the ground floor and have segmental heads. There are two 20th-century small porches present.
