Description

Number 20 on Fishpool Street is a Grade II listed building that features a 19th-century front attached to a late 16th-century timber-framed house. The structure has two storeys and two windows, constructed with yellow brick and a medium-pitched slate roof, which is only present at the front. The first-floor sash windows, which have glazing bars, are set in slightly projecting, moulded frames. The ground floor sash windows also have glazing bars and are adorned with shallow, segmental, gauged brick arches, with the right window being a three-light design. At the rear, there is an 18th-century red brick extension. Inside, the building retains some stout posts and beams supported by heavy arch braces.
