Cottage, built as a forge. Late C17. Timber frame with red brick infill. Plain tile roof. Original building is 1 bay on left. Ground floor with C18 chequered brick and plank door. 2- light C18 leaded casement left of door, similar casement above. End elevation with clasped purlin roof exposed; in line to rear is a late C19 2-storey extension in matching style. Right bay at front is C20 with a tile-hung upper floor.
