Description
The entrance gates, railings, and piers at Childwick Lodge were built around 1897 and are made of red brick and cream terracotta, matching the main building of Childwick Lodge. There are two main gate piers, with three smaller piers on either side, forming L-shaped screens that curve along the road. The entrance features double wrought iron gates with single side gates, all divided by wrought iron piers. Each gate is adorned with gilded leaf ornamentation. The gate piers have decorative red brick and terracotta bands, along with entablatures that include pulvinated friezes, while the side piers are simpler in design.
