Description
The water storage tower, located in the courtyard on the southeast side of Childwick Bury Manor, was built in the late 18th century and is designed in a Gothic style. It is constructed from red brick with stone dressings and has a circular plan with a stone plinth. The tower is a single storey and features a doorway on the southeast side, which is framed by a large roll-moulded surround with an ogee head and a cusped tympanum above it. There is a stone band at the first floor level, and the flanking walls are adorned with deep stone quatrefoil openings. Below these openings, the plinth rises to form round stone spouts.
