Description
This is a barn located at Mackerye End Farm, dating from the 18th century. It is a long structure weatherboarded on the outside and topped with a plain tile roof. The barn features seven timber-framed bays and has a double purlin roof, with the upper purlins supported by collar braces and queen struts, while the lower purlins have angled braces. The base of the barn is made of rendered brick. Originally, there were two cart entrances on the west side.
