Description
This is an 18th-century barn located south of Mackerye End in Wheathampstead. It features a timber frame and is weatherboarded with a plain tile roof. The barn consists of three bays and has two stable doors along with three small ventilators that have 19th to 20th-century glazing bars. The roof is supported by mid-height purlins with angle struts connecting to the tie beams. There is a 20th-century cottage to the north, but it is not of special interest. The barn is included in the listing for its group value.
