Description

The Well House at Mackerye End is a mid-17th century structure featuring a timber frame with red brick infill and a plain tile roof. It is a single-storey building with one bay and a slightly later extension on the south side. At the rear, there is a contemporary lean-to that retains two 17th century wood mullioned windows and one small 17th century casement window, all beneath a catslide roof. The interior includes a modern well mechanism.
