Description
The storage barn located immediately east of the walled garden at Rothamsted Manor House is a building from the mid-17th century, originally constructed with a timber frame. Its exterior is weatherboarded, dating from the late 19th century or early 20th century, and it features a continuous red brick plinth from the 17th century. The barn consists of five bays and has a double purlin roof. Inside, there is a mid-height rail along the wall and long straight wind braces. The west elevation includes small glazing bar casements, with 14 on the ground floor and 6 on the first floor.
