Description

Nos 15 and 16 on West Common are a late 18th century cottage terrace with a red brick exterior and a core that is either from the 17th or 18th century and timber-framed. The building features a steep-pitched roof covered with plain and machine tiles, and a rebuilt central ridge stack. It stands two storeys high and has a floor band. There are six 20th century casement windows, with the left two located in a slightly later 18th century front that has a higher floor band. The ground floor windows are mostly in original camber-headed openings, while there are three original openings on the first floor. The right four windows have lighter brick dressings around the jambs. The northern gable end displays exposed framing and has an 18th century external stack.
