Description
The Dene is a house dating from the late 18th century, constructed of red brick with a hipped plain tile roof. It stands three storeys high and features narrow full-height canted bay windows on either side of a central door. The windows are sash style with thin glazing bars. The door itself has two flush panels, two fielded panels, and two glazed panels, with flush reveals and moulded architraves. Shaped consoles and a dentilled cornice are present, along with dentilled brick eaves. At the rear, there are two-storey gabled projections on either side. Access to the door is via three stone steps, flanked by simple iron railings. The early 19th-century front garden wall connects on both sides, topped with stone coping. The wall has an elliptical plan and features straight iron spikes alternating with spikes that have double-scroll heads, along with two gates.
