Description
The Inn on the Green is a public house that was originally built as a house in the 17th century. It features a timber frame with red brick nogging, which is painted white, and has a plain tile roof. The building has a small L-shaped layout and includes a large, single-storey front extension added around 1970. It stands two storeys tall with attics and has a 17th-century ridge chimney stack located towards the left side. The right gable end reveals an exposed clasped purlin roof, and behind it is a 17th-century wing with visible studwork. On the left front of the building, there is a 19th-century gable end and a gabled dormer, both adorned with scalloped bargeboards. Inside, the public house features exposed wall and ceiling beams.
