Description
Church Farm Cottage is a house with origins in the 17th and 18th centuries, featuring a front block that dates to around 1830. The building is constructed of red brick, with the facade painted white, and has a plain tile roof with engaged chimney stacks at the gable ends. The eaves are adorned with dentilled brickwork. The cottage is two storeys high and has three windows, with the centre window on the first floor being blind. On the ground floor, there are two French casements, and the door on the right is set within a recent garage but retains part of its original reeded surround. The rear of the cottage consists of two overlapping sections. The south elevation is partly weatherboarded and features a 4-light 18th-century leaded casement. There is a tall 18th-century red brick stack on the left and another tall stack on the north side. The roofs are hipped and covered with plain tiles. Inside, the cottage has timber framing.
