Description
This is a barn located to the north of Paddington Manor Farm House, dating from the late 16th to 17th century. It is timber framed, standing on a plinth made of brick and sandstone, with 20th-century brick infill in the original frame. The barn features weatherboard cladding on the entrance bay and end walls, and has plain tiled roofs that extend over an open front aisle. The structure consists of seven framed bays, with a 17th-century brick wall at the right end and opposing entrances to the left of the center under a gabled midstray. Inside, the barn has been re-roofed and features jowled main posts with arched bracing on the wall frames, as well as a queen-strut roof. There is an aisle on the north side, and a stable range to the south that is not of special interest.
