Description
Marsh View is a house that has been divided into two residences, dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. The building features a timber frame in part, with the ground floor on the left clad in galleted sandstone block and brick dressings, while the upper part and the ground floor on the right are made of brick. The roofs are covered with plain tiles and the house stands two storeys tall. There is a ridge stack on the left with round-arched panels on each side, and an additional stack on the right.
On the first floor, there are four 2-light windows, and below them, three windows from the 19th century with cambered heads. The left side has a part-glazed door leading to a lobby entry for No 1 Marsh View, while No 2 Marsh View has a door located to the right of centre within a gabled porch. At the rear, there is a pentice catslide roof. The left-hand return front is tile hung and features a gable-lit attic. Inside, the ceiling frames are visible.
