Description
Hackhurst Farm House is a house dating from the 17th century, with extensions from the 19th and 20th centuries. It has a timber frame that is clad in red and brown brick at the front, with a rendered plinth. The frame is exposed on the gabled extension at the rear, which is infilled with brick. The house has plain tiled roofs and is two storeys high.
There are two diagonally placed end stacks on the left, featuring cross ridge plinths and round arched panels on the shafts. To the right of the centre is a 19th-century square stack with similar panels, along with a smaller stack to the right. The windows are arranged irregularly, with five casement windows and one blocked panel on the first floor, and five windows below. There are half-glazed doors to the left and right of centre, beneath the stack, and another door to the right. The end bay to the right is from the 20th century, and there is a gabled wing at the rear centre, with a pentice across the back.
Inside, there is early 17th-century panelling and a chimney piece.
