Description

The listing covers a small barn, shed, and flint wall located at Valley Farm, on the north side of Kimpton Road in Codicot. The complex of buildings sits in a group to the east of Valley Farmhouse. The barn itself is a later 17th-century timber-frame structure, built at a right angle to the road, and consists of three bays. It has a clasped purlin roof and is covered with corrugated iron. A small 17th/18th-century tarred brick and timber-frame outbuilding with a plain tile roof adjoins the barn’s far end. A 19th-century, four-bay lean-to shed stands alongside the road, also covered by a plain tile roof. A flint wall runs along the road frontage. The buildings are included in the listing for their group value.
