Description

The Bothy is a house that dates from the late 17th century or early 18th century, with a large northern extension added in the late 19th century. The south elevation facing the garden features a chequered pattern of red brick, while the upper floor is roughcast and has a coved eaves cornice. The building is two storeys high and has three glazing bar casements. The northern side of the house has three gable ends, with the central gable being narrower and housing the staircase. The roof is covered with plain tiles. The property was formerly known as 'The Kennels'.
