Description

This is an 18th-century barn located to the north of Great Yard House. The walls are made of flint with brick dressings, and it has a roof covered in red pantiles. The barn features three sections, with part of it functioning as a cottage at the eastern end. A flint wall faces the road, and there are filled-in openings where a window, door, and cart entrance once existed. Brick courses below the eaves suggest that the roof may have been raised in height. The gable ends have filled-in ventilation slits, and there is a stack at the eastern gable. The barn has a steeply pitched roof and brick-coped parapet gables. It is included in the listing for its group value with the adjacent structures.
