Description

The East Barn at Sisservernes is a barn dating from the late 16th century, specifically said to be from 1592. It features weatherboarding and a plain tile roof, with a tarred brick base. The barn consists of five bays and has heavy box frame walls with closely set studs and a deep mid-height rail. Inside, there are tie beams with curved braces and arch-braced collar purlins, along with some curved wind braces. A later gabled cart entrance is located on the southeast side, and there is a timber frame extension from the 18th or 19th century on the southwest side.
