Description

This building on the High Street in Codicotebegins as a 17th-century timber-frame structure, originally a shop and formerly a bakery. The front facade has been rendered with plaster and features three 20th-century casement windows, along with shop bow windows at ground level. The building is two storeys high, with a roof featuring a plain tile clasped purl. A substantial red brick chimney stack rises from the rear slope, incorporating two square and two diagonal shafts, a wide brick base with sloping sides, and an ovolo cornice. Internally, a 19th-century baker's oven remains attached to the chimney stack.
