Description
No. 88 Arlesey Road is a house that dates from the 17th century or earlier, with renovations and extensions made in the 20th century. It features a timber frame with exposed timbers and plastered panels on the first floor on the north side, roughcast walls, and a steep old red tile roof. The front lean-to extension has a slate roof. The house is two storeys high and two windows wide, facing north with a west gable towards the road and a lean-to front extension. There is a large internal west gable chimney and two structural bays of framing, each with a blocked original window in front. A smaller internal east gable chimney rises on the rear slope of the roof. A polygonal porch is attached to the northwest corner of the house, featuring double doors. The north front has two two-light casement windows on the first floor and three casement windows in the front addition, with the entrance located at the east end of the front.
