Description

Oakwood is a house dating from the late 17th century, with alterations and extensions made in the 19th century. It features a timber frame, with the ground floor covered in brickwork and the exterior finished in roughcast. The house has a steeply pitched roof that is now slated. It is two stories high and three windows wide, set back from the road and facing east. There is a single-storey range extending towards the road on the south side of the garden, which is connected to the main house by a low entrance link. The first floor has two-light casement windows with a central single-light window. There is an external chimney on the south gable and an internal chimney on the north gable.
