Description
No. 77, located in the yard behind No. 79 on Arlesey Road, is a house dating from around 1700 that has been converted into a shop and storage space. The building features red brick roughcast on the exterior, except for the rear, and has a steep old red tile roof with a plastered soffit on the front eaves projection. It is a tall rectangular structure with two stories and attics, set back in the yard and facing south. The front of the house includes two box dormers on the roof slope, four 2-light casement windows on the first floor, and a large bay window on each side of a prominent gabled timber porch. The layout consists of two cells with gable chimneys, and a plat-band is visible beneath the roughcast. There are also small additions at the rear.
