Description

The gateway and frontage wall to Ickleford Junior Mixed Infants School was built in 1848 by Frederick Dudley Ryder, as indicated by the inscription 'FDR/1848' on a shield above the gateway. The structure is made of flint with red brick dressings. It features a central entrance gateway with a Tudor arch and a pointed gable, set within a low flint wall that has angular red brick coping over a toothed course.
