Description
No. 12 Cley Road is a house from the early 18th century, part of which is used as a shop. It is constructed of red brick and has a roof made of corrugated concrete tiles. The building is two storeys high with a dormer attic and features a three-window range. The facade includes a platband at the first floor and a blue brick diaper pattern. The central entrance has an early 20th-century half-glazed door set within a timber doorcase that has a hood. There are two 2/2 horned sash windows on either side of the door, both under segmental heads. The first floor has three similar sash windows under soldier arches. The eaves cornice is dentilated, and the gabled roof has one 20th-century flat-topped dormer fitted with a two-light casement window. Inside, the main ground-floor rooms feature chamfered bridging beams with tongue stops.
