Description

York House is a house located on Cley Road in Swaffham, dating from the 18th century and refronted in the early 19th century. It is constructed of red brick with a facade of gault brick and features a roof made of black-glazed pantiles. The building has two storeys and a three-window range. The central entrance consists of a 20th-century glazed door set within a timber doorcase that has a plain frieze, along with an overlight that includes margin glazing. The windows are 6/6 unhorned sashes, positioned under gauged skewback arches. The house has a gabled roof and internal gable-end stacks on both the east and west sides. The side and rear walls are made of flint and red brick from the earlier structure. The interior has not been inspected.
